Trick - Planet Hop Shot

There’s a whole bunch you can do with Tiny Planets. In this tutorial, we’re going to show you one of the photo variety. The Planet Hop Shot. All you’ll need is your ONE series camera and a tripod.

Gear used： Insta 360 ONEX/ONE + All-purpose Tripod

Steps:

Step 1: The Setup

Method 1: Shoot via mobile.

Connect your ONE X to your phone and select video mode. Tap settings and set your parameters. We recommend shooting at 5.7K@30FPS for this shot so that your screenshot comes out clean.

Method 2: Shoot standalone

Long press the small button to turn on your ONE X. Press the small button again to switch to settings, then press the big button to choose video settings. We recommend shooting at 5.7K@30FPS for this shot.

Step 2: The Prep

Mount your ONE X onto the All-purpose Tripod. Place it on the floor.

Step 3: The Shot

Press the big button to start shooting. Stand at a distance of about 20 cm from your ONE X. When jumping, raise your arms up and look at the camera.

Step 4: The Edit

(1) Download your video. Adjust the size/aspect ratio to what you’d like.

(2) Press the screen and tap ViewFinder. Aim your phone up towards the sky. Adjust the field of view (FOV) with the slider by moving the record button.

(3) Preview the video, pause it as you jump above the camera, then take a screenshot.

（4）Upload the screenshot from your phone album. Share to the community and tag #PlanetHopShot.

Tips:

1. Try a few different distances from your ONE X when shooting. The effect will vary depending on the distance.

2. When jumping, the effect will look better if your arms face forward, while you look at the camera.

3. Try calibrating the gyro if you’re experiencing abnormal rotations or shakes while shooting. Click here to learn how to calibrate the gyro.
