how to connect insta360 ONE and my android phone by USB typeC
Hi, I have a problem to make a USB connection for Insta360ONE and my smartphone.
1. Can I make a USB connection between my SONY android phone and insta360ONE ? So far , as soon as plugging, I can see first page 'please activate my insta360 in one second, then a pop up message "connected" , and go to instruction page. Then I have a problem to connect Insta360ONE by USB. As you can see attached photos, I am using a USB cable. This is because I am not sure my phone is compatible or not yet and save money.
2. Does "Insta360 Android Adapter (Type C) for Insta360 ONE '' contain a special chip to detect a smartphone, or is it just a USB connector and plastic holder as similar condition as I am testing with a USB cable? (My guess is that's just a case and usb-connection. Therefore, I am testing my own way for now.)
3. If I cannot make a USB connection with smartphone, can I change the function of 3time-push-bottom from self timer to bullet-time shooting? My answer would be 'NO'. This is because bluetooth connection does not provide this function, and we don't have a software for Windows-desktop for this, except video player and editor. (Then eventually I will decide to sell/return this product!)
Here is my stats:
- my smart phone is Sony Xperia X Compact - Unlocked Smartphone - 32GB - Black. USB-type C connection.
- bluetooth connection is working.
- I updated firmware, and switched from i-OS to android.
- Video shooting by standalone works by 2times-push-bottom.
- When connecting insta360ONE to Windows desktop by USB cable, I can hear a connected sound and disconnected sound. After all, I cannot see insta360ONE device and micro-SD-card. I am not sure why, so I need to take off the micro-SD-card and insert it separately to SD-card slot, then I can read data.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this!!
