Matterport lock-up, camera freeze

Was doing a Matterport scan, but as soon as the first scan completed the Matterport app closed and the One X froze/locked up. The camera screen was frozen with a 10-digit number, Step:0.0ev, HDR as the three lines under the icons. Camera would not respond to its buttons or the app, so I had to pull the battery out. I did this with my brand new iPhone SE and then with a 6S and got the same result. This makes me think it must be the camera (but maybe the Matterport app?). Camera firmware is the latest update v1.18.39. Anyone else experience this?
