Insta360 Studio - On export error, no way to retry export and export is lost

I am using Insta360 Studio 2021 (v 4.1.0) on Windows 10. I edited and reframed a bunch of clips and exported them, so I had several clips in the export queue. I left the computer and let the exports run, but when I came back later to check, all the exports in the queue were gone. However, apparently, part way through the exports, the computer ran out of space, and some of the exported videos were not actually completed successfully. I can see the video clips in the export history, but there's no indication that any errors were encountered or that they were not successfully exported. I don't see any way to get Insta360 Studio to re-export the clips, and apparently all of the reframing edits that I did are lost or inaccessible! I lost hours of editing work!

  1. Is there any way for me to get Insta360 Studio to try re-exporting the failed clips?
  2. Insta360 Studio Export should check for sufficient disk space before attempting to export or add the clip to the export queue. This gives users have a chance to free up space ahead of time rather than finding out partially through an export that there's insufficient space.
  3. Checking for sufficient disk space should not only take into account the space needed for the current clip being exported, but also take into account the total disk space needed by all of the clips still in the export queue.
  4. If for some reason, an error is encountered during an export, be it insufficient disk space or some other problem:
    • There should be some indication that an error was encountered when exporting the clip
    • Perhaps the export should be paused, and a dialog box popped up to report the error and give the user a chance to fix the error, and resume the export
    • At the very least, there ought to be a way for users to retry failed exports, instead of having to re-edit and/or reframe clips all over again.
