Insta360 go won’t activate on app. (Error 14001, 3003)

I have a new insta360Go. I’ve charged it and am trying to connect it to my oneplus8 android phone via the app. It gives me the option to Activate but then fails, giving an error telling me to return the item to the vendor and something about local laws. I am in the UK and have a UK phone.

Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix this? Does the insta360 go not work for UK android users?
