Insta360 Studio 2020 won't stay in one place

I have an Insta360 One (not One X). I've been recording some of the recumbent cycling rides I take. The selfie-stick is attached to the back of my seat and sits about 2 feet above my head. The perspective is good and I've had no problems recording 2 hour long rides.

The problem is in post when I bring the file into Insta 360 Studio. All I want is to get the entire video simply looking forward, like any action camera would. However, my Insta360 One won't allow for that. I can put the perspective straight, but then 3 minutes later it is upside down. I've been using FreeCapture and Lock Direction (both on and off) and the issue persists. One waypoint is set where it looks perfect and then 3 minutes later, the perspective is way off.

Is the Insta360 One possibly defective? Has anyone been able to accomplish what I'm attempting without being forced to put in waypoints every 2 minutes just to keep the footage level?
