One R app trapped in infinite OBB download loop

Hi all,

the One R app starts up with "Downloading OBB expansion files" and then at 100% ends with "Failed to download OBB files - 13005".

I am offered to retry or exit the app. Retry loops to the same result, exiting the app does the obvious.

Flushing the cache didn't help. Same counts for deinstallation and fresh installation.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro, everything up to date.

Connecting to the camera first before starting the app, I get

"Failed to download OBB files 291" after a few seconds busy animation.
Anything I can do?
