GPS Action Remote

I cannot get a GPS signal for my new version 2 GPS Action Remote. Is there a trick to getting it to start? It will connect to my X3 camera and the remote functions work but without GPS. For a short time on boot, the remote shows a search glass icon 🔎 then an X never a signal Icon.
