X3 and GPS Remote

I have recently upgraded from One X to X3. I also have the GPS Remote I was previously using with my old One X. I managed to pair it with the X3, and it was working fine, but after the latest X3 firmware update (at least I think that might be the cause), the remote seems to have stopped working, it couldn't connect to the camera. I tried unpairing it and pairing it again, but no luck so far. I can still pair it with my iPhone, but it doesn't want to pair with X3. I tried resetting the remote, but it didn't help.

I was also trying to upgrade the remote's firmware from the app, but it never ever worked for me (the app just doesn't find the remote at all).

Any idea how I can get the remote working with my X3 again?
