Uploading 360 video for viewing in browser on YouTube or Google Photos

I have tried exporting from Studio on my PC into an MP4 file (encoded using h.265) but when I upload it to either Google Photos (https://photos.app.goo.gl/2Ce89Jdi7eZsdGpi8) or YouTube (https://youtu.be/6T_i1Ccxa5c) neither seem to have recognized it as 360 degree video - or at least I can't see how to manipulate the viewpoint while viewing it in my browser. Do I have to save it as video (original) not video? For Youtube do I still have to figure out how to use this? https://github.com/google/spatial-media/releases/tag/v2.0 ?!
