X3 Loop Recording | Loop Recording Useless?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums

I've had my X3 for a while now and finally decided to try using its "Loop Recording" feature on my motorcycle.

Let's face it, people can be crazy and some really just don't know how to drive.

While playing around with the X3's loop settings, I found that it doesn't quite work the way I expected a loop recording to function. Honestly, the current functionality is almost useless to me.

In an ideal setup, I imagined it would work like my Escort Dashcam in my car. You set a loop time interval, say 5 minutes. The camera would then continuously record 5-minute clips and store them on your SD Card. Once the SD card is full of these clips, it would start overwriting the oldest clip with newer ones, ensuring you always have the most recent footage available.

Additionally, my Escort Dashcam allows me to lock clips by pressing a button on the back of the camera, preventing them from being overwritten. I think it would be straightforward to implement a similar feature with the designated "Q" button on the X3.

Right now, I feel like this feature is kind of pointless, but maybe I'm missing something.
