Newbie... Better Option Opinion & Questions...

Hello Insta360 Community! My name is David "SPOT" Brannon. I was hoping to ask a question regarding which option do you think would be better for me... I am currently debating between the GoPro Hero 8 Black , the GoPro Max 360 and the Insta360 ONE R.

See, I am a SAR Flight Paramedic working on a hoist equipped helicopter. I am wanting to attach a camera to my flight helmet so I can record flights, rescues, training evolutions, etc. I just can't decide between the options I listed above.

I love the idea of 360 view, but am a little confused on just exactly what I would see - i.e., would this give the view of everything going on around me while going up / down the hoist / working inside the helicopter / etc. and still be able to see "me" performing the tasks???

At the same time, I have watched footage from a co-workers older GoPro Hero 4 which looks pretty awesome too, which is why I'm considering the Hero 8, but now I also know I can do this same thing with the twin pack with the Insta360. However, I noticed that you miss some things if the camera is not continuously pointed at you or exactly at what you are looking at (yes, I know, that makes sense... wonder if I just answered my own question??? Lol!).

Anyway, with these options, I also wanted to ask what is the best way to be able to record the audio, both mic and earphone, withing my helmet? This would have to be able to connect to my ICS helmet cord as well as my wireless Tru-Link device.

I guess lastly for now, considering this will be mounted to my helmet, what would be an optimal mounting and angle to be able to "see" everything?

Any help / info any of you might have with this or be able to provide any assistance with would be most appreciated!
