SD Card issue

Today I opened my unused micro sd card and inserted it into my ONE R while it was turned on. Then I powered off the camera after inserting. The camera reads “no SD card” and I tried repeating the process the correct way with the camera off and THEN powering after the SD was in, still showing no SD card, do you think it’s the SD Card or the SD Card slot??
