Differences between Starlapse and star-trails

Hi,

I m pretty amazed about the image quality and the number of features of the Ace pro, but I m really disappointed about the lack of a good documation for all the settings.

Especially when switchinh between the different Starlapse modes no help what so ever is given.

What is the difference between Starlapse and star trails? What is a start trail photo?

How do I take a single astro photography without any trails?
