Phone App - Save to External SD Card??
Known issues or requested features?
I record videos while riding an electric unicycle. I like the app for simple reframing. I reframed a 30 minute video which took 5+ hours, found out it wouldn't let me export to the 256GB external microSD card in my phone for simple saving and transfer to pc. It was 18GB, I only have like 5GB free and it'd be a headache to backup and delete various apps and data. I tried to shorten clips to a few minutes, found out the trim function wiped out my other 25 minutes and left me with the 5 minutes of junk footage I wanted to trim out. I tried to Undo and found out you CAN'T?
All I could do was wipe all edits and lose the 5 hours of editing. I did that and saved the raw file to my pc. I setup and tried Premiere reframing but my laptop doesn't have dedicated graphics so it's laggy and I hate dealing with proxies and all that. If I could simply SAVE TO SD from my phone, this wouldn't be an issue. The other option would be to have it like a dashcam and save as 5 minute clips, which I could reframe, save to internal phone storage and upload reframed clips one at a time, which would work but still not as easy as saving to a damn external SD card.
Chat support confirmed I'm the only one to request saving to external SD card on phone app? Really? Is this not a known issue? Why hasn't the devs added this simple option? I actually really like the smooth reframing process, quick playback, easy to do while watching a podcast or something. If only I could save to a big external microSD card on the phone. Instead I'm stuck, the app won't allow me to edit my 30 minute clip and save, the editing via Premiere sucks, and I have no idea if or when my feature request for the SD card would eventually get added.
What a big disappointment. Any suggestions or am I just forced to choose between these two crappy options?
