Insta 360 One R - 360 Lens Repair

Many months ago I dropped my 360 mod lens about 2 feet on to a hardwoord floor and I had a scratch. I spend several hours trying to polish out the scratch with a Dremel tool. The proceedure was fairly successfull but there is still a mark that is noticable in the video footage (it looks like a finger print smudge now).

I've contacted Insta 360 but repairing the lens and I was told:

Hi there, you can send the camera to our US office if you live in the USA. For Dual-Lens 360 Mod——Single Lens, it's 116 USD. ForInsta360ONE R Dual-Lens 360 Mod, it's 199.99 USD.

I'm really not clear on a couple things here:

1) Does that mean if I only have scratch on one lens it's $116 or does "Single Lens" refer to the 4k lens?

2) Why is the cost of repairing the 360 lens the same cost as buying a completely new one?

3) Is Insta 360 repairing my old lens or are they sending me a new lens?

$199 for repair is a ridiculous price.... Why would anyone send back their old lens, pay $20 shipping costs, and wait several weekes, when they can buy a new lens and keep the old one for the same price? Somethings is not quite right here....

Insta360 --- every month there is all of these promotional items and discounts --- how about running a promotion to help people get their len's repaired at a reasonable price?
