GO Trick - The Barrel Roll

With Insta360 GO, you can get really creative with your shots. What used to take fancy footwork and expensive gimbals now takes a swipe in the app. Here’s how you can do a barrel roll!

Gear used:Insta360 GO + Magnet Pendant

Step 1:The Setup

Wear the Magnet Pendant and Pop GO on (Make sure you’re wearing the pendant inside your shirt.

Step 2: The Shot

Turn GO on with a long press, then double-press for a Hyperlapse. Walk straight ahead. Straight paths look best for barrel rolls.

A short vibration followed by a rapidly flashing cyan light indicates your recording has started. Press again to end the recording, indicated by a long vibration.

Step 3: The Edit

(1)Connect to the Insta360 GO app, download the video and edit. Select the length of the video. Adjust the size and trim the length according to what you’d like.

(2)Long-press the screen until the gridline appears. Drag the screen to centre the horizon.

(3)Go to the halfway point of your video. Again, long-press the screen until the gridline appears. Adjust the Roll axis to -180 degrees.

(4) Then, adjust the Roll axis to -360 degrees at the end of the video.

(5)Export and share when you’re happy with your edit.

Notes:

1. Choose a straight path to walk down, and move at a constant speed.

2. When the video screen drifts, you can adjust the frames in the clip to keep the horizon in the centre.

3. With the Magnet Pendant, you can press the logo to turn GO on and record.
