Perfect calibration insta360 one RS 1-inch 360

Calibration for leveling the horizon look simple for the insta360 one RS 1-inch 360.

Just place the camera upside down on a level surface and start calibration from the insta360 app.

That sounds easy.

But how do you know the surface is completely level? If it seems level, and even with a water-level it is not accurate. Only a fraction of a millimeter off, results in a horizon that is not level.

Best you can do is use a complete smooth surface like glass. (I used my tablet)

Then use a perfect round ball, like a big ball of a tracking mouse. Put it on the surface, and adjust the surface as long until the ball doesn't want to move anymore. Spinning the ball reduces friction and is even more accurate.

I use the power cable to level it, just moving it so slightly. If you do this serious, it takes minutes to reach perfect level.

When sure it is level, now it is the time to calibrate your camera.
