How to zoom using Insta360 Studio desktop

Zooming refers to adjusting the POV and/or the Distortion. This can be done in the mobile app by pinching, but the process becomes far more laborious when using the desktop version.

You can zoom using a mouse wheel, which adjusts both the POV & Distortion simultaneously; these can then be fine-tuned by adjusting their values when a key frame is placed. However, if you’re using a laptop trackpad, you don’t have this option, and you are forced to set a key frame, then adjust the FOV and Distortion, manually. This can be a very slow and frustrating process when working with a lot of key frames.

The process could be made smoother and more efficient by adding in shortcut keys for FOV and Distortion, in the same way as shortcuts exit for moving the player and head (arrow keys), stopping/starting playback (space), and even zooming into the timeline (ctrl =, ctrl -).

Please give us shortcut keys for adjusting POV & Distortion without the need to place key frames. And if you do decide to do this, please don’t have us use the Control or Command keys, as this will be pointless. Z, X, C & V will be just fine, thank you! 🙏
