HDR Active : when do you use it or not ?

Hi all !

No issue at all with my insta360 Camera.

I love it and I want to improve myself !

At this moment, I investigate HDR Active video mode.

When do you use it ? And when it’s better to not use it ?

What I understood (correct me if I am wrong) :

> HDR is to have better details in high light and low light (high dynamic range)

> Good when high contrast in the landscape

> Good for portrait video with high sun

> Good for video with low light but not night

> Not good inside bâtiments, under water

> I know for photos : not good for moving « target »… but for video ? I think it can be used while moving but with good stability ?

> High Sun :HDR ?

> In snow : HDR alwayz ?

In fact… I didn’t find any reasons to not use HDR outside ? Do you have an exemple or without HDR is better than HDR outside? (I know HDR file size is morr heavier but didn’t concern quality).

Question for users but also insta360 service :)
